In Episode 18 of Gigging: Everything & Sharing Economy, host Mark Anthony Peterson interviews Dr. Garry Copper, the Cofounder and CEO of Rheaply. In addition to being the leader of Rheaply, Dr. Cooper is an adjunct assistant professor at Northwestern University’s Department of Physiology, a member of the Forbes Chicago Business Council, a Scholar at Google for Entrepreneurs, and Doctoral Fellow and Visiting Scholar at The Feinberg School of Medicine.

Rheaply is the Amazon of the Scientific Research world helping scientists save money and the environment by providing a platform where they can post and purchase excess supplies left over after they complete their grant-funded research. To date, Rheaply has diverted 14.5 metric tons of waste and saved $1.3M in expenses on the back 10,000 transactions in 2019. In March of 2019, Rheaply launched it’s Emergency Resource Exchange (ERx) to help government agencies distribute COVID-19 emergency supplies. Rheaply will re-invent the world of logistics.
