Opportunities in Wood Reuse and Recycling
This roundtable explores practical strategies for Michigan organizations to keep wood in circulation—through deconstruction, reuse, remanufacturing, and responsible recycling—while also strengthening local markets for products specially designed from wood waste. By bringing together demolition contractors, reuse enterprises, manufacturers, designers, and public-sector partners, we examine how reclaimed and discarded wood can serve as a valuable feedstock for new products, reduce landfill dependence, and support Michigan’s transition toward a more circular and resilient materials economy.
