Dear friends of Rheaply,
What a year.
Before we all celebrate the holiday season and dive forward into 2021 with new hopes and aspirations, I want to take this opportunity to thank you.
We grew Rheaply by 2000% ARR, during a global pandemic. That’s not possible without your commitment to embrace and share our collective vision for a more circular world driven by technology.
Major moments
Without the support of each of you, there’s no way we successfully support essential workers, small businesses, and nonprofits in need of sourcing personal protective equipment to help Chicago safely begin to open up after the shut down this spring.
For me personally, many of you guided me through a time of uncertainty in the wake of the systemic racial injustice that reared its ugly head…again. Many of you were able to help me channel that frustration and rage into a supreme focus on storytelling, sharing the circular economy’s real and often overlooked promise: to reshape our economy – for everyone.
Listen to Garry’s reading of the letter
The groundwork for using connections and relationships to move our current economy into a circular one has been established:
- Organizations are pledging Zero Waste to landfill strategies.
- The number of private market funds with circular economy focus has increased tenfold in the last four years.
- A survey by Gartner shows 51 percent of supply chain professionals expect their focus on “circular economy strategies” to increase over the next two years.
This goes on; these are business cases for the circular economy.
But as we know, if 2020 taught us anything, the Earth doesn’t need a business case for a better economy. We already know what’s at stake with the one we already have. It just needs people with the guts to act on it. Thank you for being the people that act. Happy Holidays to you and your family, and best wishes for a healthy start to 2021.
